And Salamander Green was probably more like Dark Angel Green now, since they were darker back then. Since 3rd ed they've been painted with Snot green and a scorpion green highlight.When I painted mine there was only the standard paints so used a mix of dark green and black ink for shade, but the shade coats above make sense to me as well. You can also use a black base coat and use that to develope the shade but Snot covers black poorly, since it is very much a yellow based pigment. It takes forever to get a good strong basecoat of Snot over black though (so the Gnarloc green idea above is a good time saving tip).
